About Us

In response to the growing need for in-home assistance, the St. Thomas/Holy Spirit Lutheran Church family developed the outreach ministry, Christian Community Homecare. Our program has been in operation since 1996.

Caregiving is a calling. Caregivers are people who truly want to help others any way they can. They are caring, reliable individuals who are interested in providing companionship and care to those who find it difficult to attend to their everyday living needs. Our caregivers are carefully selected and directly represent St. Thomas/Holy Spirit Lutheran Church; some are members of our congregation while others are from the surrounding community.

Each potential caregiver must pass a background check prior to employment. For everyone’s safety, each is bonded and insured through the church, and we offer on-going training to all of our caregivers throughout the year.

It is exciting to aid Christian Community Homecare as we administer to the needs in our community. Our caregivers are dependable and committed to providing quality services. It is heart-warming to see the close relationship between caregiver and care receiver and feel the presence of God’s human touch at work in the world.

‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25:40)
